Foto oficial de Obama é a primeira feita com máquina digital

A foto de Barack Obama que estará em todas as repartições dos EUA foi a primeira a ser feita com uma câmera digital, a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. O autor é Pete Souza, neto de imigrantes açorianos, que também foi fotógrafo oficial de Ronald Reagan. Obama não abre o sorriso, como George W. Bush. Chuck DeLaney, do Instituto de Fotografia de Nova York, preferia uma foto mais para cima: “É austera para tempos austeros”.
