Damon Winter e Patrick Farrel vencem o Pulitzer 2009

O fotógrafo Damon Winter do The New York Times venceu o Pulitzer 2009 na categoria Feature Photography por seu ensaio A Vision of History, sobre a campanha presidencial de Obama.

 

Na categoria Breaking News o vencedor foi Patrick Farrel, fotojornalista do The Miami Herald desde 1987, com o ensaio em p&b A People in Despair: Haiti’s year without mercy,  da cobertura das vítimas do furacão Ike e de outras tempestades que atingiram o Haiti em 2008. 

 

9/7/08 -- CABARET, HAITI --- A small town in western Haiti where the death toll from the affects of Hurricane Ike is substantial...The lifeless body of Tamasha Jean 5 the daughter of Frantz Samedi is loaded onto a pickup truck along with bodies of other children that died in the floods caused by Hurricane Ike.
